Built in 1909, Högbonden's lighthouse has a rich history spanning centuries, where lighthouse keepers and their families once called this home. After being automated in 1963, the lighthouse has continued to be an iconic symbol of the region.

Hiking, photography and bird watching are popular activities that will enrich your stay. The island is an ideal destination for both day visitors and those wishing to stay longer.

During the 2024 season, the hostel and cafe are open from 1st July to 4th August. Regular tour boats from Barsta harbor and Bönhamn harbor have departures four times daily.
